Just in case you missed it in the other thread(s), I now have a new program called set_empeg_max_fid which fixes two big issues with the player software:

(1) when shuffling the entire player (on front-panel, hit "down-down-down"), the running order position was not remembered across reboots in many cases. Fixed.

(2) dynamic data for more than 0x6fff FIDs (playlists + tracks) could not be saved -- this includes stuff like the playcount and the seektool parameters etc.. fixed.
